Once upon a time, there was a nice man named Bob...
He lived in a land just like you and I.
Bob’s story began not with grand plans for human rescue but with a humble mission to save animals. Bob had always had a soft spot for creatures in need, and his home quickly became a sanctuary for abandoned and abused animals. His compassion knew no bounds, and he poured his heart into creating a safe haven for them. This love and dedication gave birth to Ranch Hands Rescue.
What started as an animal rescue soon expanded into something even more profound. Bob recognized a different kind of suffering, one that was often overlooked: the plight of male survivors of sex trafficking. With the same spirit of compassion and determination, he transformed his sanctuary into the first and only safe house dedicated to helping these young men. Thus, Bob’s House of Hope was born—a beacon of light for those who had known only darkness.
In this unique sanctuary, the healing journey is mutual. The rescued animals, many of whom have suffered neglect and abuse, find solace and trust in the care of the residents. In turn, these young men, who have faced unimaginable hardships, discover purpose and healing through their interactions with the animals. It’s a beautiful cycle of recovery, where each being contributes to the healing of the other.
Currently, Bob’s House of Hope is recognized as the only safe house in the United States specifically dedicated to male survivors of sex trafficking, particularly those aged 17-24. Despite growing recognition of the issue, there remains a severe shortage of safe housing options and specialized programs for male victims of trafficking. Bob’s House of Hope stands as a pioneering example of comprehensive trauma-informed care, aiming to expand its impact and inspire the creation of more safe houses and support services tailored to male survivors across the nation.
Recently, the journey of Bob’s House of Hope took another inspiring turn when they joined forces with the Allegiance Project Foundation:
“Our Executive Director, Landon Dickeson, had the honor of meeting an incredible group of guys yesterday, most of whom have served this country both domestically and abroad. Each one embodied the spirit of the compassionate warrior, ready to protect and to defend from a place of love, wisdom, and integrity. They will be helping us ensure the safety of our residents, our clients, our animals, and our staff. We are excited to see what we can build together! Thank you all for your service and sacrifice for this country and for these innocent victims. We are grateful for you!”
As someone who deeply cares about this cause, I want to personally thank Bob, the staff, and the Allegiance Project Foundation for stepping in and providing this essential support. Your commitment means the world to everyone involved.
